My Bio

All right, what’s with this guy?

I’m Jonathan Richman, Director of Strategic Planning for Bridge Worldwide, an interactive and relationship marketing agency based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Advertising Age ranks Bridge Worldwide among the Top 50 Digital Agencies in the country. Our company’s client list includes several FORTUNE 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, ConAgra Foods, Fifth Third Bancorp, and Kroger.

I provide strategic direction and leadership for the company’s clients with a concentration in healthcare. I’m  also responsible for developing new client relationships, with a goal of providing the best partnerships possible between clients and the agency. A big part of my job is helping to solve clients’ business challenges by finding the right solutions among all of the many choices available to today’s marketers. From social networking to relationship marketing to channels such as mobile and complex back end technology platforms, I help clients sift through the clutter and hype to find the best options for their brands.

I’ve written extensively on the impact of digital technologies on healthcare marketing including white papers on “Emerging Media in Healthcare,” “The Future of Healthcare Relationship Marketing,” and “The Ten Digital Rules to Keep Your Brand Healthy.” You can view and download any of these publications and presentations. I’ve also had numerous articles appear in Pharmaceutical Executive, AdAge DigitalNext, and iMedia Connection.  I also manage to write two different blogs, Dose of Digital (you’re here now) and my Posterous blog, which is a collection of all of the odd things I tend to notice around me. I used to write a blog called  Everyone But You (currently “on hiatus”), which was/is a humorous look at search trends on Google. You can also find me as a Featured Blogger on iMedia Connection and Eye for Pharma

Prior to joining Bridge Worldwide, I worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals for more than 11 years, holding positions in sales, training, sales leadership, and marketing in diverse disease areas including cardiovascular, oncology, asthma, and neuroscience . In my most recent position at AstraZeneca, I served as Brand Leader for healthcare professional marketing  in the U.S. for breast cancer agent  Faslodex and also led compliance initiatives for another breast cancer treatment,  Arimidex.

That’s all the business stuff…I have a wonderful wife and equally wonderful daughter (it goes without saying that they’re also both beautiful). In my limited free time, you can find me either working on my photography skills, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or getting clobbered online  by a far better chess player.

You can find me on Twitter…@jonmrich. Feel free to drop me a tweet anytime. I’ll look forward to hearing from you. Also, follow this link to contact me directly.
